Lithuanian Fly fishing history is not a very old.  Fly fishing was known in Lithuania less than100 years. In 1939, the first Lithuanian book of fishing “Fishing Sports” author V. Goštautas gives a short description about Fly Fishing.
Fly fishing in Lithuania became increasingly popular in recent years. More and more articles about the fly fishing appear in the press. Fly fishing forms a new approach to fishing among the anglers in Lithuania.
They started to write a new page in the old fly fishing history book. A number of local traditions and original flies being developed in Lithuania.

About me:

I was 6 years old when I first time took the rod in hands. Like every little boy in Lithuania I started with pole fishing for roach and bream.
I started tying flies professionally even before I started fishing with a fly rod. I have been Fly Fishing seriously from 1998.  After a decade decided to use my experience, existing skills and focus on fly dressing mainly.
Dressing flies is not only about combining the colours. Fly dressing stimulates me to investigate and discover more fantastic new methods, techniques, and opportunities. I develop my skills of fly dressing by looking for inspiration in the nature so that I can respond with confidence to the question: “Why his method, this technique, this fly is the best”.
